Will NASA be on the moon again soon?
They actually plan to go in 2024. The way things work in the space business, one would normally expect delays.
But Trump apparently wants to oversee some important “space event” (he was saddened to hear that there was no way NASA could get to Mars during his presidency, even assuming his reelection). If he is reelected, he may at least get to talk to the first woman on the moon in 2024.
Incidentally, being President during the 1969 landings didn’t ultimately do that much for Nixon’s legacy.
Watergate was 17 June 1972. It took a while to hit the media. Last Apollo was 19 December 1972. Trump would want to do a lot more than just talk to the first woman to go to the moon
Yeah cos nixon wound down the project
Was Nixon the one that was at the centre of the Watergate scandal? I'm assuming that was mild sarcasm when you said didn't do much for his legacy, & I know it happened around 40-50 years ago (Watergate, not the moon landings, I know that was 1969-1972)
I saw the moon in Perth today but it disappeared
When will NASA return humans to the Moon?
NASA is in the business of space exploration. NASA has already explored the Moon. Turns out, it was fairly dull.
When there might be something new to explore on the Moon, NASA will go back. But the Moon hasn’t changed much in 4 billion years, so I wouldn’t hold my breath.
Can NASA go to the moon again?
Could we? Of course. There are two small non-governmental companies in the U.S. that are on the verge of being able to go there as well. They at least have a strong incentive: space tourism. But as far as NASA is concerned, you’d have to come up with a darn good reason for them to go back again, since the space race was long ago won.
Can NASA still go to the moon?
Right now, the vehicles to take us there are being developed… the *knowledge* exists - but, at the moment, the *hardware* doesn’t…. but, hopefully soon - it’ll be ready.
Will NASA return to the moon?
I think so. President George W. Bush had instructed NASA to return to the moon as its next mission after the Space Shuttle program. President Obama, although accused by right-wing pundits of shutting down NASA, instead redirected NASA to land astronauts on an asteroid and on Mars.
”NASA is developing the capabilities needed to send humans to an asteroid by 2025 and Mars in the 2030s – goals outlined in the bipartisan NASA Authorization Act of 2010 and in the U.S. National Space Policy, also issued in 2010.”

It’s not clear that NASA has any reason to go to the moon now. We know where the moon is, we have samples of its rocks, why would a publicly funded space agency keep sending missions there? It’s far more likely that Elon Musk will send some teslas there and set up a low-gravity driving school…. or more likely… start a mining operation to bring in some income offsetting the costs and effort of flying there.

Is NASA going back to the Moon?
Yes but only after they've been shamed by another country beating them back there
Emeritus Professor of Astronomy, Author (ErindalePublishing)
I believe current plans are still for 2024. But funding is iffy, and all sorts of intermediate steps could involve failures of one sort or another, so I wouldn’t count on it.
(Erindale Publishing)
How long before NASA goes to the Moon again?
How long before NASA goes to the Moon again?
At this point, there is no telling. While they’ve been directed by the current administration in the White House to go back and land astronauts on the Moon by 2024, NASA has not received the commensurate increase in budget necessary to even attempt pulling something this ambitious off.
If I were to guess? No sooner than 2030. I suspect that the Chinese or some other country will accomplish this before NASA does. It may even be a private corporation that pulls it off sooner.
Will NASA be on the moon again soon?
Well, this is more of a political question than a scientific one. It totally depends on the current U.S. president and the next one.
If the question is can NASA go to the moon soon. Then the answer is definitely yes.
However this question cannot really be answered without full understanding of the political situation
I agree. Just wanted to see if someone comes up with a different angle. Thanks.
Answer: NASA cannot go to the moon or any other celestial body with human beings. NASA does not have the funding and hasn’t had the funding since their last Apollo mission. Go and research NASA funding over the years. Go and research how much of NASA money is spent by percentage to just take car...

When are we going back to the moon?
Humans are going back to the Moon for sure but there is no correct answer to when.
NASA is planning to land on Moon again with a public-private partnership. But I don't think it will be so soon as they have many other projects like Mars landing ahead of all.
Indian space agency ISRO is also working hard to reach Moon. They are going to launch an unmanned mission in few years which is going to be very important for future manned missions.
So at this point of time, no one can say that when we are going to Moon but it's certain that we will.
Will NASA return to the moon?
This cannot be ruled out, but circumstances during the 1960’s, the decade during which the commitment to land men on the moon was made, and then carried out, were very different from today. In 1946, the US national debt was 120% of GDP, but 1947–47 were years during which the federal budget was in surplus, and there were four surpluses during the 1950’s. In those days, the highest marginal tax rate was 91%, the government was adequately funded, and the national income was shared much more evenly and fairly than today. By 1960, the surpluses and economic growth had reduced the debt to 54% of GDP.

Today, the USA has seen forty years of mostly decline, where, except for 1993–2001, disastrous policies centred on tax cuts the country couldn’t afford, have shifted the distribution of the national income in favor of the rich, leaving steadily declining living standards for most other people. The national debt is now 128% of GDP and continuing to rise, and the trade deficit is $964 Billion. The cost of servicing the debt is currently $394 Billion, more than 10% of budget outlays.
Undoing the damage would take decades and require a long term commitment to sensible policies by both parties, which only the Democrats are currently committed to.
Will NASA be on the moon again soon?
Science may well try to present us yet another hoax, but this time every pre-school child will be able to tell it’s a lie, since nowadays even young children understand much about computer technology, so they can tell the difference between what is real and what is computerized. And that especially since children are not yet “hypnotized” the way most adults are, so the children can see what adults can’t, because the former’s minds are not “blocked up” like the minds of the latter.
No! there is nothing to go there for ! You have to realise that ‘The Moon Race’ was really ‘The Arms Race’ in disquise ! The rockets that launched Apollo were actually designed to launch Nuclear Bombs to the USSR ,just as the Russian rockets were made to launch bombs to the USA ! Also robotic probes are MUCH cheaper than manned ones and can do more !
First of all they did actually go to the Moon. There are mountains and mountains of proof to verify that. Secondly why on Earth do you equate not going back with the possibility that they never went there to begin with? That makes absolutely no sense. Let's say you visited some other country for vacation. If you don't go back time and time again to that same country is that evidence that you never went to begin with?
If NASA really went to the moon, how come they have not gone back there?
Simple. Ignore the mad ramblings of conspiracy theorists. It just comes down to MONEY.
The US had won the race to the moon. There was little more to gain from more moon-shots, so why spend large sums of money going back there? Politicians have better things to do with such huge sums. I’m sure lining their pockets isn’t one of them.
I would like to explain as i had done extensive research on Nasa and other space agencies around the world i felt speechless with the way scientists in the name of science are fooling people across world i will explain in detail to make it clear first starting with moon mission they claim to have gone there but they never did there is a place in us called area 51, sector zone 27 and sector zone 22 thease are the places where with the help of highly advanced simulated technology is used to conduct all the missions moon mission was conducted here on 20july 1969 later on it was said that aliens missions was also conducted by taking African old retired men mars mission is again being carried out in sect 2
