Just for your information. One of the cheapest BYD electric cars from China sell for only 10k !!! Very cheap. But USA placed tariffs on them so we don't have that cheap alternative so we're forced to pay expensive overpriced american TESLA that's roughly 40k. Is this the consumer model that you want? You want to be monopolized into having fewer cheaper sextions so a company can greed up? This is the Republican way. This is the Trump way and they want to keep you from having cheaper alternatives by using this idea for all our goods. This is what you get MAGA.

Two plus years driving an MG here in the UK. We now have BYD, XPENG Jaecoo, with Nio and xiaomi coming late this year. That's on top of the very good KIA, Hyundai, VW, Renault, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, etc. EVs we already had. Everyone will leave the US behind.

I am not into brand names, I would be happy with the cheapest BYD. I own a 45K Subi in the states, have not bought an electric bc I need 500 miles or more per charge.
